dc.descriptionThis study explored the 2012 Arakan conflict in Myanmar and its impact on the economic security of the region. The crisis is basically an ethnic conflict between the Rakhine Buddhist majority and Rohingya Muslim minority. This research focused on the most important trade zone of the region, the Straits of Malacca and its connection with the Arakan conflict. Myanmar’s position that ties closely with Strait of Malacca so it has potential to threaten the strait. The sole purpose of this research is also to show the impacts of the Arakan conflict on the regional economic security of Southeast Asia region.en_US
