dc.description.abstractThis thesis titled “Pengaruh Bergabungnya India dengan TRIPS (Trade Related Aspect of Intellectual Property Rights) Terhadap Perindustrian Farmasi di India” tries to explain the changes of India’s decision with introducing a new policy after joining TRIPS. This thesis aims to identify the strategy drawn by India to overcome the local pharmaceutical industry problems after India jointure to TRIPS. Besides that, this research also aims to analyze how effective the new regulation called Patent Act 2005 to limit the multinational pharmaceutical company movement. This method of research uses descriptive qualitative with accurate and credible sources such as literatures, journals, books, also internet as well. India’s joining on TRIPS creates terrifying circumstance towards the local and international citizens because this fact will urge India to implement all of the TRIPS regulation and caused an unaffordable price of drugs situation. However, with a lot of input from internal and external citizens, India could introduce the new policy called Patent Act 2005. After Patent Act 2005 was introduced by India, the position and domination of multinational pharmaceutical company could be limited and this fact gave the opportunity for local pharmaceutical industry to enlarge their market.en_US
