This was shown by Indonesia’s effort to free the Indonesian hostages from Abu
Sayyaf Group in 2016. In order to free the hostages, Indonesia use total
diplomacy method which mean using all the instruments and also all available
resource. Both political and economic approach are done with the help of various

melindungi warga negaranya. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan upaya yang
dilakukan Indonesia untuk membebaskan sandera WNI dari kelompok Abu
Sayyaf pada tahun 2016. Untuk membebaskan sandera, Indonesia melakukan
diplomasi total dengan menggunakan seluruh sumber daya yang ada. Semua
