dc.descriptionA research was conducted to study the effect of planting media on the growth of red betel cuttings and know the best planting medium to the growth of red betel cuttings. The research was conducted at Greenhouse University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta conducted from November 2016 to February 2017. This research was conducted by experimental method and compiled in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with single factor experiment design consisting of 9 treatments, i.e: Soil + Compost 1: 1, Soil + charcoal husk 1: 1, Soil + coconut husk 1: 1, Soil + Sand + Compost 1: 1: 1, Soil + Sand + charcoal husk 1: 1: 1, Soil + Sand + Coconut husk 1: 1: 1, Soil + Fractional tiles + Compost 1: 1: 1, Soil + Fractional tiles + charcoal husk 1: 1: 1, Soil + Fractional tiles + Coconut husk 1: 1: 1. The results showed that the treatment of planting media influenced the growth of red betel cuttings. Soil Media + Charcoal husk (T2) showed the best growth in red betel cuttings growth.en_US
