dc.description.abstractLeptospirosis is a public health problem in the tropical countries. Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease caused by Leptospira. The disease is transmitted by animals such as cats, dogs, cows, and rats. The presence of rats as a vector of pathogenic bacteria can not be ignored. Leptospira attack house rats, such as: Bandicota indicata, Rattus diardii, Mus musculus and Rattus norvegicus. This research was conducted to determine the effect of patients with leptospirosis home distance with the location of rats positive leptospirosis in Yogyakarta City. This study is cross sectional design. This study uses secondary data from 65 patients who were hospitalized from 2011 to 2013 based on medical records hospital in Yogyakarta City, and primary data uses rats which captured in Yogyakarta district. A total of 200 traps installed in all districts of Yogyakarta city. The blood and kidneys rats were taken for leptospirosis examination by Polymerase Chain Reaction. Respondents home distance with the location of rats positive leptospirosis in Yogyakarta City are determined by multibuffer spatial analysis methods with geographic information system. Effect of respondents home distance with the location of rats positive leptospirosis are determined by geographically weighted regression method. The results showed that majority respondents home distance with the location of rats positive leptospirosis more than 200 m is 50.77%. Based on statistical analysis with geographically weighted regression method obtained t test <2.2281. It means that there is not influence between respondents home distance with the location of rats positive leptospirosis.en_US
