The dynamics of United States foreign policy in order to expand its influence over the world and maintaining the power of hegemony brought America to a position that always has any role in almost every issue in the international area. The United States has been maintaining its power through a wide variety of ways, including the neo-imperialist political manifestations of developing countries. This undergraduate thesis is about how the United States began its neo-imperialist ambitions to the very strategic potential Uzbekistan, until they got failed due to the discontinuance of cooperation by Uzbekistan. The process of analysis used the theory of imperialism with qualitative research methods that comprised a literature study conducted on primary and secondary documents and also other supporting Internet-based research data. From the research conducted, we can conclude the results that the failure of the United States in Uzbekistan are the emergence of elite awareness of Uzbekistan due to the pressures of the United States and also Russian reaction toward the cooperative relationship between the United States and Uzbekistan.en_US
