| dc.description | This research is motivated by agricultural community in Yogyakarta. One of the
villages that used costal sand land as agricultural cultivation land is Srigading
Village. In farmers association os costal sand land there is a Farmer Group
called Manunggal Farmer Group. Manunggal farmer Group as a farmer group
that oversees Srigadung Village farmers alwas has a way to overcome the
problems that arise in cultivation. One of the axample is to gather the members at
the night in accordance with mutualagreement to discuss the problems that
occurred. Manynggal farmer Group facilities for each member of the farmers to
exchange ideas and informationto solve the existing problems. From the above
condition it is important to know how the role and the management of Manunggal
Farmer Group in the effort of developing agriculture in costal sand land of
Srigading Village, Sanden Subdistrict, Bantul Regency. This research used
scoring method and descriptive analysis. Respondent in this research are 50
farmers, the member of Manunggal Farmer Group. The results showed the role of
Manunggal Farmer Group as the learning class had an average score 19,66
which means has a role, joint venture 13,84 which means has a role and
productionunit 16,2 which means has a role either. For the business affairs of
Manunggal Farmer Group, arisan, savings and loan, discussion, seed
