| dc.description.abstract | The society health status about maternal and child in Indonesia until this time become the attention the entire of the society because of the maternal death rate and infants death rate are higher in Indonesia. The lower of the awareness from the society about the health services by medical personnel which is competent is the one of the factor which should be consider in handling this case. The Regulation about maternal and child health existed on the law number 36 of 2009 about the maternal, child and infant health. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to analyze the role of government toward the maternal and child’s health in border area by describing the three aspects that affect toward the decision about the maternal, child and infant health in the border area.
This research used the qualitative research method to collect the data and information which using a variety of sources, such as interview, journals, books, website and information which is related with this case. This research have a purpose to know about the level of maternal and child death rate in 2014-2015 in the border area between Indonesia and Malaysia which exist in Entikong Sub-district in West Kalimantan Province. The location of this research is in Health clinics center in Entikong Sub-District and Health Department of Sanggau Regency.
Based on the research results, all program is successful it because of the effort from the local government to developing the border area. The border area is not always left behind, in this case the local government has prove their performance to improving this area. They made the program which is toward the maternal and child health successfully rather than another area in the district itself. One of the challenges that should be solved by the local government is to improve the facilities and infrastructure which exist in the border area like the infrastructure of the road and the medical tools for the health clinics center in the border area | en_US |
