dc.descriptionVacuum infusion is the process of making composite products by utilizing air vacuum in the mold. Vacuum infusion consists of inlet hose resin, resin out hose, reservoir tube, film bagging, vacuum pump and mold. In the process of making vacuum infusion resin enters in the mold due to differences in air pressure outside and in the mold. Vacuum gauge is used to determine the pressure on the mold so that the flow rate can be controlled. Testing tools by making panels sebanayak 5 processes with different layers variations. The first variation is fiberglass, flow media, bagging film. The second variation is fiberglass, glass, bagging film. The third variant is fiberglass, bagging film (in hole), flow media, bagging film. The fourth variation is fiberglass, peel ply, flow media, bagging film. The fifth variation is fiberglass, inphuply (release film and flow media), bagging film. From the results of making 5 panels the best variation is the variation or process to 4, because the surface of the panel is smooth and can be applied to the industry. The result of composite product making is influenced by the type of film used, the flow rate, the shape, and the product areaen_US
dc.description.abstractVacuum infusion ialah proses pembuatan produk komposit dengan memanfaatkan kevakuman udara dalam cetakan. Vacuum infusion terdiri dari selang masuk resin, selang keluar resin,tabung reservoir, bagging film, pompa vakum dan cetakan. Pada proses pembuatan vacuum infusion resin masuk dalam cetakan akibat adanya perbedaan tekanan udara luar dan dalam cetakan. Vacuum gauge digunakan untuk mengetahui besar tekanan pada cetakan sehingga laju aliran dapat di kontrol. Pengujian alat dengan membuat panel sebanayak 5 proses dengan variasi susunan lapisan yang berbeda. Variasi yang pertama susunannya fiberglass,flow media, bagging film. Variasi yang kedua susunannya fiberglass, kaca, bagging film. Varisai yang ketiga susunannya fiberglass, bagging film (di lubangi),flow media, bagging film. Variasi yang keempat susunannya fiberglass, peel ply, flow media, bagging film. Variasi yang kelima susunannya fiberglass, inphuply (release film dan flow media), bagging film. Dari hasil pembuatan 5 panel variasi yang terbaik adalah variasi atau proses ke 4, karena permukaan panel halus dan dapat di aplikasikan pada industri. Hasil pembuatan produk komposit dipengaruhi oleh jenis realese film yang digunakan, laju aliran, bentuk, dan luasan produk.en_US
