dc.description.abstractBackground: Adolescence is a transition from childhood into pubescent, during this period teenagers have not been able to make a proper decisions. Furthermore, it is the obligation of parents or family to fulfill the necessities of their children, one of the children’s necessities is the education on reproduction health. Parents’ behavior in educating teenagers have been affected by many factors, such as gender, age, education, education on reproduction health, education on reproduction health according to Islam, attitude and information access. Purpose: To analyze factors affecting parents’ behavior in educating teenagers about reproduction health. Research method: This study is descriptive correlative, using cross sectional approach. It was conducted on May 2017 at Tlogo, Tamantirto Village, Kasihan Sub-District, Bantul District, Yogyakarta. There were 59 respondents by accidental sampling. Chi Square and Fisher Exact Test were used for data analysis. Research Results: There is a significant correlation between education level (p=0,007), education on reproduction health (p=0,001), education on reproduction health according to Islam (p=0,014), attitude (p-0,002), and information access (p=0,007) towards parents’ behavior in educating reproduction health. The most influential factors towards the parents’ behavior are the factor of education on reproduction health (OR=10,000), education on reproduction health according to Islam (OR=4,074), attitude (OR-5,813), and information access (OR=4,667). Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between the level of education, education on reproduction health in teenagers, education on reproduction health according to Islam, attitude and information access towards parents’ behavior in educating teenagers about reproduction health. There is no correlation towards age and gender.en_US
