dc.description.abstractThe prevalence of smoking in Indonesia increases significantly, especially school children who start smoking because of the influence of the surrounding environment. Statistics from the Indonesian Ministry of Health reveal that in 1995 the number of smokers aged 10-14 is estimated to be 71.1 thousand people and lifted to 426.2 thousand people in 2010. Purpose : This research was conducted to find out the relationship of social support of parents with smoking behavior to the students at SD Negeri Danupayan Bulu Temanggung. Methods : This study uses a type of descriptive correlational research with cross sectional approach. Sampling using total sampling was 30 respondents. Data collection was done by using questionnaire Result : Based on class and age, respondents as many as 22 students with 73.3% percentage have supportive social support and 16 students with 53.3% percentage have very bad smoking behavior. The P value of social support of parents with smoking behavior was 0.207. Conclusion : The results show that there is no relationship between social support from parents with smoking behavior of school children.en_US
