dc.description.abstractAbstract The purpose of this study is to find out how the final assessment system of courses in Japanese language education program UMY in accordance with the assessment KPT. The method that used in this research is descriptive method. The result of this study shows that the final assessment system of Japanese course in PBJ UMY as follows ; 1). Hard skill assessment, it takes of 70% and softskill as much as 30% of total final assessment, with existing assessment components, 2). There are not midterms and final semester exams but replaced with competency test that conducted once at the end of the semester. The scoring system is in this course is different from other universities, although by the same major. Softskill assessment accompanied by matrices and task assessments thatdone by lecturers. so the teaching portofolios can be applied by qualified lecturers when giving a final assessment. Process assessment is more important than the assessment of the resultsof exam.en_US
