| dc.description | Cengkeh merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi. Di Desa Kalices petani membudidayakan cengkeh sejak tahun 1990 sampai sekarang dengan harga cengkeh yang naik turun petani cengkeh di Desa Kalices masih tetap bertahan sehingga perlu diteliti motivasi petani dalam membudidayakan cengkeh. Penelitian melibatkan 32 petani cengkeh yang tegabung dalam kelompok tani dan masih aktif dalam membudidayakan cengkeh. Pengumpulan data diambil dengan analisis deskriptif menggunakan Korelasi Rank Sperman. Secara keseluruhan petani di Desa Kalices termotivasi untuk membudidayakan cengkeh. Petani sangat termotivasi membudidayakan cengkeh untuk jaminan hari tua, dengan memiliki usahatani cengkeh petani merasa aman untuk dijadikan harta, simpanan hari tua dan dijadikan investasi. Hubungan faktor internal dengan motivasi semakin tinggi pendidikan maka petani termotivasi membudidayakan cengkeh karena status sosial, semakin tinggi ketersediaan modal maka motivasi untuk membudidayakan cengkeh semakin tinggi untuk jaminan hari tua. Jadi untuk meningkatkan motivasi petani dalam usahatani cengkeh petani perlu mengembangkan potensi yang ada dalam diri petani, selain itu juga dapat dibantu dengan peran dinas pertanian setempat sebagai sumber informasi untuk menambah frekuensi penyuluhan untuk memberikan binaan agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan petani tentang usaha budidaya cengkeh. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Clove is one of commodity plantation that has a high value. In the Kalices village, the farmers cultivating the clove since 1990 until now with the price of clove up and down, but the clove farmers in the Kalices village still persisted, so the researcher feels necessary to investigate the motivation of farmers in cultivating the cloves. This study involved 32 clove farmers who are members of farmer groups and still active in cultivating the cloves. The data was obtained by descriptive analysis which used Sperman Rank Correlation. Overall, the farmers in the Kalices village were motivated to cultivate the cloves. The farmers were highly motivated to cultivate the clove for the old days’ guarantee. They feel secure by having the clove farming because it can be a wealth, a saving of the old days, and an investment. The correlation between internal factors and the motivation was the higher education made the farmers motivated to cultivate the cloves because the social status, the higher availability of fund made the increasing of motivation for cultivating the clove for the old days’ guarantee. Thus, to improve the farmers’ motivation in cultivating the cloves, they should develop their own potency. It can also be supported by the Department of Agriculture as source information to give supervision through the counseling, so that can fulfill the farmers’ need for clove cultivation. | en_US |
