dc.description.abstract | Human needs an education that can help them in realizing one of their life
goals, namely becoming khalifatu fil ardh. In the world of Islamic education, one
of the leaders who became the originator of the idea of science Islamization is
Syed Naquib al-Attas. He has a view of thinking about Islamic education in
accordance with the development of human age. So, the purpose of the author
conducting this research is to find out how the actual way of view of al-Attas in
applying the concept of Islamic education on every development of human age to
be expected human beings by Allah and His Apostle. The development of human
age has three concepts, namely: pre-conception, prenatal, and birth until death. In
the phase of birth includes several stages, there are neo-natus, ath-thiflu, tamyiz,
baligh, and syuyukh.
The research used in this thesis is a descriptive qualitative research. The
author will focus this research on the study of library (library research), a type of
literature research study, where the author looks for the source of data from print
and electronic media related to the concept of Islamic education in every
development of human age according to the way of view of Naquib al-Attas.
The results of this study are to introduce the concept of education in
accordance with the development of human development is the concept of atta'dib.
The purpose of this at-ta'dib concept is an educational concept that already
covers about ethics (adab), science and deed where the concept becomes a
necessity for parents or educators to educate the children starting from birth.
However, to achieve the goal of Islamic education is not enough with the concept
of ta'dib, but also must be supported by adequate environmental factors, including
