dc.description.abstract | Centella asiatica L. Urban (CA) with local name Pegagan has been reported as traditional medicine to cure post-surgical wound on cutaneous level and ulceration. One of its chemical compound called asiaticoside has the ability to trigger epidermal activity through Malphigi cell layer and keratinization in some in vitro studies. CA has also been known empirically for its benefit as stamina supplement for some population but only few accessible and supportive researches has been done. This study was conducted to prove the immunomodulation effect of CA over the IgG of male mice induced by BCG Vaccine. The study used 50% ethanol extract of the whole part of CA by maceration then followed by extract evaporation into its viscous form. The viscous extract was divided into some dosages to be administered to the mice : 50mg/Kg BW, 100mg/Kg BW, 150mg/Kg BW, dan 200mg/Kg BW. The dosages were administered orally in daily measure. The blood samples were taken from the mice on day 0, 14, 28, 32 started from the day of investigational product administration. IgG analysis was conducted using ELISA reader. The study result proved the immunomodulation effect of CA extracts on dosage group 50mg/Kg BB and 100mg/Kg BB | en_US |
