| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | determining a treatment plan, data consideration was needed such as anamnesis, clinical examination, study model analysis, radiograph examination, and face shape examination or cephalometry. Not all the data could be considered in determining treatment plan because there were many aspects that influenced. The study model analysis like Pont index or Bolton index was one of the data that could be consideration in determining the treatment plan.
The research aimed at finding out the conformity of removable orthodontic treatment plan based on Pont and Bolton index with treatment plan conducted by co-assistant in RSGM UMY.
This research was analytic observational with cross sectional design. The sample used was 68 patient study models that had removable orthodontic treatment in RSGM UMY in April 2016 until April 2017. The sample collection technique used simple random sampling. The treatment plan was determined by conducting measurement using vernier calipers. The result of the measurement was put into the formula of Pont and Bolton index, and was then conformed to the treatment plan conducted by co-assistant in RSGM UMY.
The result of chi square test showed p value of (0.000) < 0.05, meaning that there was significant relationship between the conformity and treatment plan. The conformity percentage between treatment plan based on Pont index and treatment plan of the co-assistant was 66.2%; between Bolton index and treatment plan of co-assistant was 51.5%; between Pont, Bolton index, and co-assistant was 30.9%.
There was significant relationship between conformity and treatment plan based on Pont, Bolton index and treatment plan conducted by co-assistat in RSGM UMY. | en_US |
