dc.description.abstract | The title of this research is empowerment strategies to raise awareness and
independence of Yogyakarta’s society health condition based on promotion and prevention
policy. It uses qualitative approach in its implementation. Then to retrieve the data, it is
used questionnaires, interviews and FGDs techniques. From the results which is obtained,
we can conclude that health policy which is oriented toward preventive and promotive
policy becomes very important. Preventive and promotive policy give the output generated
much better than curative and rehabilitative health policy. For that, community
empowerment is necessary to support the policy. Appropriate empowerment strategies of
public health will produce Societies health outcomes independently. But to achieve that, it
takes a lot of synergy start from Health Department, health centers, NGOs, Community
Leaders, and the community itself. The focus is more directed towards the empowerment of
young person and mens who do not get a lot of health education. Additionally, collective
people and self-conscious running environmental health is also one of the focus needs to be
done when running the empowerment of public health. Some things related to the contents
of the Ottawa Charter should keep in mind to optimize the implementation of community
health empowerment in Yogyakarta. This empowerment policy (which is an element of
policy advocates preventive and promotive) if successful would create a public health in
Yogyakarta increased independence, thus curative and rehabilitative policies only become
a side policy. | en_US |
