The constituents of chemical compounds in the midrib of the snakefruit plant were cellulose 31.7%, hemicellulose 33.9%, lignin 17.4%, silica 0.6% and C/N ratio 40.10 so the snakefruit leaf midrib takes a long time to decompose naturally, therefore activators need to be added to speed up the composting process. The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence the tofu pulp waste activator has to accelerate the composting process and get the right tofu pulp waste doses to accelerate the composting of snakefruit leaf midrib. This research was carried out at the compost house (Green House) of the Faculty of Agriculture, Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University, in July - August 2017. The study used a single factor experimental method which was compiled in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of 4 types of treatment, namely 75% tofu waste, 50% tofu waste, 25% tofu waste and without tofu waste as control, each treatment repeated 3 times with thus obtained 12 experimental units. The results showed that the addition of tofu pulp waste had a significant effect on all parameters of midrib compost and snakefruit. The distribution of 25% tofu waste is the most efficient activator to speed up the composting of snakefruit leaf midribs.en_US
