dc.description | Shallot is one of the most important commodity in Indonesia. This commodity can be uses as a seasoning as well as traditional medicine. In Indonesia, shallot cultivation is generally done by using shallot bulbs which are ready to planted. But, the superior bulbs have low yields and resistant to seed borne diseases. The purpose of this research is aimed to determine the effect of organik matter mix on germination and the growth of true seed shallot and knowing the appropriate type of organik material as mixture of shallot nursery media on the grumusol soil. This research using experimental method with single factor that consist of 4 treatment, they are vermicompost, azolla compost, straw compost and manure. Each treatment was mixed with grumusol soil and charcoal husk. The result showed that a good mixture of organic ingredients to speed up the germination is mixture of vermicompost, husk charcoal and grumusol soil. However, organic matter that can be used for mix media with husk charcoal and grumusol soil in the shallot nursery is vermicompost, azolla compost and manure. | en_US |
