dc.description | Russia is one of the dominant countries in its region. Russia’s domination began since the dissolution of Soviet Union, which during that time Russia claimed to be the successor of Soviet Union. Because of this, Russia still believes that it owns and has a right to intervene with former Soviet Republics. Russia’s intervention during Euromaidan is an interesting topic to research because it was the cause of why Ukraine’s bill on joining European Union was stalled. Russia’s worst nightmare is the independent Ukraine that become a part of European Union and NATO, and excel at economy, technology and military, replacing Russia as regional leader. | en_US |
