dc.description.abstractThe primary objective of this research is to produce a scientific publication published in accredited national journal and conference proceeding. Specifically, this research aims are (1) to understand the Chinese migrant workers in Indonesia; (2) to understand the perspective of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia on Chinese migrant workers in Indonesia; and (3) to propose recommendation to Indonesian government based on the Indonesian migrant workers perspective in Malaysia. The significant of this research are (1) the largest number and the highest contributor of Indonesian remittance is the Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia. Malaysia was also benefited by the influx of Indonesian migrant workers almost in all economic sectors. (2) The main purpose of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia is for job opportunities, and for better living condition. (3) The influx of Chinese migrant workers was blatantly hit Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia amid of the high number of unemployment as well as job vacancies provided by the government. (4) This was a humiliation against Indonesian workers which have struggled to migrate to Malaysia even with illegal ways and very risk. In contrats to this, the government has welcomed a large number of Chinese migrant workers which have been deployed in various projects. The arrival of Chinese migrant workers, of course, became controversial issue especially among Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia which hace faced difficult situation such as exploitation, humiliation, and contract abuses. Understanding this topic, to be sure, is important in order to push the government to have high attention on Indonesian migrant workers as well as to creat more job vacancies inside the country This is qualitative with content analysis. All the collected data are obtained trough library research with content analysis. This research also complemented with un-structured interview as well as focus group discussion (FGD) with Indonesian workers in Malaysia which already contacted, experts as well as academicians.en_US
