dc.descriptionPendahuluan: Perilaku merokok merupakan ancaman kesehatan global. Paparan asap rokok berkontribusi terhadap 12% kejadian kematian penyakit kardiovaskular, dan membunuh 7 juta orang setiap tahun. Rata-rata perilaku merokok pada petugas kesehatan adalah 20%. Tujuan: penelitian ini menggali perilaku merokok pada petugas kesehatan di Puskesmas Lambu Kabupaten Bima Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi fenomenologi terhadap 6 partisipan berdasarkan tekhnik purposive sampling. Hasil: Penelitian ini menghasilkan 8 tema yaitu: 1) Pengalaman awal perilaku merokok, 2) Alasan perilaku merokok saat ini, 3) Efek yang ditimbulkan dari perilaku merokok, 4) Pengaruh interpersonal, 5) Pengaruh situasional, 6) Komitmen berhenti merokok, 7) Kebiasaan merokok yang sulit diubah, 8) Hambatan melakukan edukasi perilaku merokok. Kesimpulan: Petugas kesehatan yang berperilaku merokok memiliki hambatan dalam melakukan edukasi kesehatan pencegahan merokok di lingkungan kerja. Diperlukan pengawasan kebijakan larangan merokok yang ketat di lingkungan kerja dan pelatihan pencegahan merokok kepada petugas kesehatan.en_US
dc.description.abstractIntroduction: smoking behaviour is a global health thread. Cigarette smoke exposure contributes 12% toward death caused by cardiovascular disease and kills 7 million people every year. The average smoking behaviour of health officers is 20%. Objective: the research reveals the smoking behaviour on health officers at Puskesmas Lambu, Bima Regency, Nusa Tenggara Barat Province. Method: the research design used qualitative approach of phenomenology study toward 6 participants based on purposive sampling technique. Result: the research generates 8 themes namely: 1) The early experience of smoking behaviour, 2) The reasons of smoking behaviour, 3) The effects of smoking behaviour, 4) The interpersonal effects, 5) The situational effects, 6) The commitment to quit smoking, 7) The smoking behaviour which is difficult to change, 8) The obstacles to educate people on smoking behaviour. Conclusion: The health officers who smoke have obstacles to educate people in the working environment about smoking behaviour. Strict policy on smoking restrictions in the working environment and training on smoking prevention for health officers are necessaryen_US
