Guatemala as a country that had joined the United Nations Special Committee for Palestine (UNSCOP) to create Palestine as a country and Guatemala also recognized Palestine as a country in 2013. In 2018 Guatemala moved its embassy to Jerusalem as support to Israel. This paper aims to describe the factor that caused Guatemala move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in 2017-2018. This paper used descriptive-qualitative research methods to describe clearly and concretely the displacement the embassy of Guatemala to Jerusalem and its factor. This study finds Guatemala is following United States‟ foreign policy. This can be seen in the statement in speech of the Guatemalan President, Jimmy Morales, at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in 2018. This reason is the dependency relations of Guatemala with the United States. Guatemala utilizes its close relationship with Israel which has been around for 70 years by making Israel as a variable that strengthens its relationship with the United Statesen_US
