dc.descriptionDalam tugas akhir sebelumnya, Muhammad Ilham Nur Isra’ telah membuat sebuah inovasi dari permainan ular tangga yang ditunjukkan untuk orang dewasa. Permainan tersebut dikenal dengan ular tangga bergenre strategi. Wahyu Firmansyah lalu mengembangkan permainan tersebut menjadi sebuah permainan digital offline multiplayer yang dapat dimainkan di satu perangkat. Meskipun telah dikembangkan, game ular tangga bergenre strategi tersebut belum dapat dinikmati secara online. Padahal perkembangan game online di dunia semakin meningkat dan banyak diminati oleh para gamers. Oleh karena itu, penulis mengembangkan lebih lanjut permainan ular tangga bergenre strategi untuk dapat dimainkan secara online multiplayer antar perangkat PC atau Laptop. Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis mengadopsi Game Development Life Cycle milik Heather Maxwell Chandler, dengan menerapkan 3 tahapan yaitu Pre-Production, Production, dan Testing. Permainan tersebut kemudian diuji melalui 4 tahap pengujian yaitu pengujian konektifitas backend, pengujian gameplay, pengujian performa, dan pengujian portabilitas. Dari hasil production dan testing yang telah dilakukan, penulis berhasil mengembangkan sebuah permainan digital ular tangga bergenre strategi yang dapat dimainkan bersama secara online multiplayer antar perangkat PC atau Laptop.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn the previous bachelor thesis, Muhammad Ilham Nur Isra’ made an innovation of the game snakes and ladders for adults. The game is known as the snakes and ladder genre strategy. Then, Wahyu Firmansyah was develope the game into a digital offline multiplayer game on one device. Even though it has been developed, the game cannot be played online. Even though, the development of online games in the world is increasing and more gamers are insterested with it. Therefore, the author develops the snake and ladder genre strategy to be played online mutiplayer between PC or Laptop devices. The method used by the author adopts Heather Maxwell Chandler’s Game Development Life Cycle, by applying 3 steps includes Pre-Production, Production, and Testing. The game is tested through 4 steps of testing, like backend connectivity testing, gameplay testing, performance testing, and portability testing. From the production and testing results that has been done, the author successfully develop a digital game of snakes and ladders genre strategy which can be played online multiplayer between PC or Laptop devices.en_US
