dc.descriptionKarangsong mangrove forest ia a conservation area which has an important role as a protected forest in the north coastal areas of the district of Indramayu. The function of the mangrove forests one of which is to prevent abrasion. This study aims to measure the value of willingness to pay (WTP) the conservation of mangrove ecosystems and analyze the factors that influence. The dependent variable in this study is the willingness to pay (WTP), while the independent variables include age, gender, marital status, education level, income, frequency of visits and recreation costs . The number of samples in this study were 270 people who are visitors in the tourist area of Karangsong mangrove forest. The analysis used in this study is the logistic regression, and using the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM). The results of this study that the value of willingness to pay (WTP) for conservation of mangrove forests in the coastal region Karangsong Rp 13.000 and as 221 states are willing to pay. Factors that significant positive effect on willingness to pay (WTP) is gender, and level of education, income, frequency of visits and recreation costs. Marital status and age insignificantly affect to the willingness to pay (WTP) for conservation of mangrove.en_US
