| dc.description | The United States is a world unipolar force afrer the collapse of the Soviet Union. US influence covers every region of the world including the Middle East. Regions that are mostly Muslim are famous for their natural resources, the Middle East is identical with chaos, authoritarian government, high unemployment and proverty. Even though, the area is oil, wealth is only obtained by certain people. The extent of social inequality in the Middle East makes people dissatisfied with government policies and gives birth to demonstrations that demand change. This phenomenon occurs in several countries in the Middle East known as the phenomenon of the Arab Spring or the Arab world revolution. Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt became the first countries to receive the impact of Arab Spring, now crashing into the Syria who controlled by iron handed regime of Bashar al-Assad. The conflict in Syria is intensifying with the joining of foreign powers such as terrorist opposition groups and major state actors namely the United States. America‟s involvement in the Syrian crisis this time is based on the national interest of the country that was sparked through foreign policy. | en_US |
