dc.descriptionThis study aims to describe the process and stages of the Bantul Regency Government in socializing smart city Program in the Bantul region of Yogyakarta, as well as to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of socialization. The method of this research is descriptive research using a case study approach. The data source of this study was taken from primary data obtained from in-depth interviews and secondary data obtained from books, internet, documents, and photo documentation. The data validity test used triangulation that compares and checks the degree of trustworthiness of information obtained through many sources in qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that the communication strategy of the Bantul Regency Government in socializing smart city Program to the people of Bantul not yet effectively. Broadly speaking, the socialization was carried out once through traditional folk shows in three sub-districts, namely Bantul SubDistrict, Pajangan Sub-District, and Sewon Sub-District. The optimization of the use of conventional media (print and electronic media) and new media (internet) is carried out as a supporter of the dissemination of information related to this smart city Program.en_US
