dc.descriptionThe economic losses experienced by Saudi Arabia due to the decline in world oil prices between 2014 and 2015 caused this kingdom-shaped country to look for other alternatives in cooperating with other countries. It is not enough with the United States as its allied country and the country with the largest economy in the world causing the Saudis to start glancing and focus on the East in search of a country with the second largest economy, China. With various collaborations being enhanced with China in various fields in order to reduce over-dependence on oil and US help. Even though Saudi still cannot be separated from the US, the Saudis consider the role of China in the Middle East enough to rely on the panda country's flagship project, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which will help Saudi realize its vision of boosting the kingdom's economy, Saudi Vision 2030.en_US
