| dc.description | Riset ini bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan mengenai “bagaimana Qatar melakukan perlawanan terhadap dominasi Arab Saudi di Kawasan Timur Tengah?” dengan puncak pembahasan saat krisis diplomatik Qatar-Saudi tahun 2017. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan itu, digunakan konsep aliansi dan teori balance of power. Riset ini berargumen bahwa Qatar berusaha melakukan balancing terhadap dominasi Saudi lewat cara beraliansi dengan Iran dan Turki setelah terjadi pemutusan hubungan diplomatik. | dc.description.abstract | This research was aimed to answer the question about “how does Qatar counter against Saudi Arabia’s dominance in the Middle East Region?” with the highlight during the 2017 Qatar-Saudi diplomatic crisis. To answer that question, this research utilize the alliance concept and balance of power theory. This research argues that Qatar is trying to balance Saudi domination by way of allied with Iran and Turkey after the diplomatic ties were cutted. Then, through balance of power perspective, Qatar strenghtens their economics and established new alliance in order to counter Saudi Arabia’s domination in the Middle East. | en_US |
