dc.description.abstractChrysanthemum is an ornamental plant commodity that has high economic value. A demand for chrysanthemum plants is not comparable with the availability of chrysanthemum itself. An alternative plant propagation that can be done is by propagating plants with tissue culture methods. The aims of this research is examine the effect of adding banana peel Ambon on Liquid Organic Fertilizer media to and obtain the most effective banana peel extract concentration for chrysanthemum explants multiplication media in vitro. The reasearch was conducted from January to March 2019 at the In Vitro Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University, Yogyakarta. This reasearch uses a single factor experimental method with 8 treatments and each has 3 replications and 3 samples so that there are 72 units arranged in a Completely Randomized Design. The treatments tested were chrysanthemum buds with POC media and Coconut Water by adding banana peel in 50 g/l and 100 g/l; outer banana peel 50 g/l and 100 g/l; and the combined banana skin is 50 g/l and 100 g/l. The results showed that the media of adding banana peel with a concentration of 100 g/l on POC and coconut water media gave the highest number of leaves yielding 5.78 strands.en_US
