dc.description.abstract | research entitled “The Management of the ecotourism sepanjang beach
area of Kemadang Village, Tanjungsari sub-district, Gunung Kidul Regency,
Special Region of Yogyakarta”. aims to identify the potential and develop the
concept of structuring coastal areas as coastal ecotourism areas in order to
improve the natural preservation and welfare of the community in Kemadang
Village, Tanjungsari sub-district, Gunungkidul Regency. The research was
conducted in June-September 2019.
The research was conducted by survey method, the technical
implementation was carried out by observation, questionnaires, and interviews.
The type of data obtained are primary data and secondary data. Primary data
collection was obtained through field observations and interviews and
questionnaires while secondary data collection through studies.
The results showed that community and government support as respondents
related to the management of ecotourism-based tourist areas ie 100% of the
community agreed, while the government 57.14% stated strongly agree and 42.86%
agreed. Management of coastal tourism areas is determined based on the results of
the identification of the area's potential (agricultural potential, mineral salt
potential, coastal natural resource potential, socio-cultural and economic
potential) and zoning of the area (core zone, conservation zone, supporting zone
and complementary zones). Ecotourism is made as a recommendation for area use
