dc.descriptionCognitive ability is the basis for a child's ability to think in order to find out the individual's ability to connect, assess, and consider an event or event. Cognitive ability in this study uses two learning models, namely e-learning based learning models and conventional learning models that are still in use today. Objective: This study aims to analyze the differences in cognitive abilities of e-learning and conventional learning in nursing documentation material at the Tanjungpura University nursing study program in Pontianak.. Method: This study is a quasi-experimental research design using pre post without control group design. The selection of respondents using a total sampling technique totaling 74 respondents. Data collection uses cognitive abilities with MCQ 16 about pre and post questions. The results: The results of this study indicate that there are differences in cognitive abilities with nursing documentation material based on e-learning and conventional learning models. Conclusion: Learning models to improve cognitive abilities in students, especially in the subject of Basic Concepts of Nursing with nursing documentation material is to use conventional learning models in addition to using e-learning models by taking into account interactive e-learning applications, internet networks, and interaction and forum processes in discuss.en_US
