| dc.description | The biggest expectation of parents is having children who are physically and mentally healthy. It is different from when they are gifted with children having physical limitation namely cerebral palsy disability. The appropriate accompaniment pattern of parents for cerebral palsy children will result in the easiness in developing positive personality of the children in hardiness character. The hardiness character is a group of personality characters that become source of strength in facing pressure of life.
The research aims at describing the accompaniment pattern of parents, the supporting factors, the inhibiting factors of accompaniment pattern of parents and the result of the accompaniment pattern of parents in the attempt of character building of hardiness in children with cerebral palsy. The research implemented qualitative research method. The subjects of the research were the parents of the children with cerebral palsy, the children with cerebral palsy themselves, and supporting informants namely the wives of the people with cerebral palsy and the friends of the people with cerebral palsy in completing the information in this research.
The result of the research shows that the accompaniment pattern of parents in the attempt of character building of hardiness in children with cerebral palsy have a tendency to the types of authoritative father and democratic mother. The result of the accompaniment pattern of parents in the attempt of character building of hardiness in children with cerebral palsy is that they have high spirit so that they can achieve their dreams, they possess high social mind and they can face pressure. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Harapan terbesar dari kedua orang tua adalah memiliki anak yang sehat fisik dan sehat mental. Berbeda dengan ketika dikaruniai anak yang memiliki keterbatasan fisik yaitu disabilitas cerebral palsy. Pola pendampingan orang tua yang tepat pada anak cerebral pasly akan mudah mengembangkan kepribadian anak yang positif pada karakter hardiness. Karakter hardiness merupakan kumpulan karakter kepribadian yang menjadi sumber kekuatan dalam menghadapi tekanan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola pendampingan orang tua, faktor pendukung, penghambat pola pendampingan orang tua dan hasil pola pendampingan orang tua dalam upaya pembentukan karakter hardiness pada anak cerebral palsy. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Subyek penelitiannya yaitu kedua orang tua dari anak cerebral palsy, anak cerebral palsy, serta informan pendukung yaitu istri dari cerebral palsy dan sahabat dari cerebral palsy sebagai pendukung dalam melengkapi informasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola pendampingan orang tua dalam upaya pembentukan karakter hardiness pada anak cerebral palsy lebih cenderung mengarah tipe bapak yang bersifat otoriter dan tipe ibu bersifat demokratis. Hasil pola pendampingan orang tua dalam upaya pembentukan karakter hardiness pada anak cerebral palsy yaitu mempunyai semangat yang tinggi sehingga dapat menggapai cita-citanya, mempunyai jiwa sosial yang tinggi dan mampu menghadapi tekanan. | en_US |
