dc.descriptionThis research which located in Membalong, Belitung Island, Province of Bangka Belitung, Indonesia from April to August 2019 aims to determine the suitability of land on pepper plants. Research method implemented is survey, in order to obtain both primary and secondary data. The primary data collected is land characteristic data from the village observed. Meanwhile the secondary data that considered supporting data, obtained from local government agencies. In the end, laboratory analysis results show that the land in the area has characteristics of land with texture of sandy clay to sand, with specification: pH 4.5-4.8, C-organic content> 0.4%, soil N-total nutrients, include P2O5 and K2O, but K2O contents are very low. Based on the characteristics of the land, the research area can be included in the S3 (marginal appropriate) suitability group with a limiting factor for the availability of oxygen, root media, nutrient retention and existing nutrients. Finally, it is conclude that land in the research area have potential (quite suitable) to be developed as a pepper plantation area.en_US
dc.description.abstractSebuah penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Membalong, Belitung Bangka Belitung bertujuan untuk menentukan kesesuaian lahan pada tanaman lada. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai April 2019 hingga bulan Agustus 2019. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode survei untuk memperoleh data primer dan sekunder. Data primer merupakan data karakteristik lahan dari desa tersebut. Sedangkan data sekunder merupakan data pendukung yang didapat dari instansi pemerintah setempat. Hasil analisis laboratorium menunjukkan bahwa lahan di kawasan tersebut memiliki karakteristik lahan dengan tekstur lempung liat berpasir sampai pasir, pH 4,5-4,8, kandungan C-organik >0,4%, unsur hara N-total tanah, P2O5 tersedia, dan K2O tersedia sangat rendah. Berdasarkan karakteristik lahannya, kawasan penelitian masuk ke dalam kelas kesesuaian S3 (sesuai marjinal) dengan faktor pembatas ketersediaan oksigen, media perakaran, retensi hara dan hara tersedia. Lahan di kawasan tersebut potensial (cukup sesuai) dikembangkan sebagai area perkebunan lada.en_US
