dc.description | Sumber energi fosil yang semakin berkurang dan meningkatnya kebutuhan energi membutuhkan energi alternatif. Ketersediaan limbah padat Minyak kelapa sawit dan sampah plastik Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) adalah sumber energi yang potensial. Proses pemanasan (thermal treatment) adalah salah satu metode yang dirasa tepat untuk menjadikan limbah padat kelapa sawit dan PET agar memiliki nilai tambah dan menjadikan limbah yang ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan karakteristik pemanasan bahan biomassa dalam bentuk cangkang, serat, dan tandan kosong dengan PET ditambah absorber dalam bentuk arang.
Pencampuran sebanyak 50:50 dan suhu pemanasan hingga 105 ̊C. Penelitian dilakukkan menggunakan oven microwave dengan daya 800 Watt.Perekaman suhu dan massa otomatis menggunakan data logger dan aplikasi hyper terminal.
Hasil pencampuran bahan biomassa (cangkang, serat, dan tandan kosong) dengan PET sebanyak 50:50 diperoleh laju pemanasan pemanasan paling tinggi pada pengujian tandan yaitu sebesar 1,3864 ̊C/detik. Tandan lebih cepat panas karena memiliki nilai densitas yang paling kecil yaitu 0,4710 g/ml. Konsumsi energi paling tinggi terdapat pada proses pengujian bahan cangkang karena pada proses pengujian cangkang membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Fossil energy sources that are decreasing and increasing energy needs require alternative energy. Availability of solid waste Palm oil and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic waste are potential sources of energy. The process of heating (thermal treatment) is one method that is deemed appropriate to make palm oil and PET solid waste to have added value and make environmentally friendly waste. This study aims to know the comparison characteristics of drying of biomass materials in the form of shells, fibers, and bunches with PET. The study was mixture of as much as 50:50, heating temperatures up to 105̊C plus the absorber in the form of charcoal. conducted using a microwave oven with 800 Watt power. Automatic temperature and mass recording using data logger and hyper terminal applications. From mixing biomass materials (shells, fibers, and bunches) with PET as much as 50:50, the heating rate was obtained the highest heating heating rate in the bunch test that is equal to 1.3864 ̊C / sec. Bunches heat faster because they have the smallest density value of 0.4710 g / ml.
