dc.descriptionThis thesis is aimed to explain the economic interest of Indonesia in prioritizing African countries through SouthSouth Cooperation to boost efforts in its economic diplomacy on 2016 – 2019 during President Joko Widodo era. This study uses two theoretical frameworks, including National Interest theory by Morgenthau and the concept of economic diplomacy by Kishan S. Rana. By using National Interest theory and the concept of Economic Diplomacy, this study proves that Indonesia through its South-Soth Cooperation prioritize Africa because Indonesia has economic interest in Africa. Such as, Indonesia consider that Africa has potential as a new nontraditional market including its natural resources and the population of working age and GDP growth in Africa. Also Indonesia consider that Africa has potential for infrastructre investment.en_US
