Pneumonia and sepsis are invasive diseases with the main cause being the bacterium Streptococcus Pneumoniae. The incidence of this disease always increases every year. With the increase in the incidence of this disease also increases the economic burden used for treatment. The research aimed to find out the costs of invasive disease treatment which includes direct medical costs, direct nonmedical costs, and indirect costs and the comparison between direct medical costs and INA-CBG's tariffs in accordance with Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation Number 64 of 2016 in hospitalized pediatric patients in RSUD Wates and RSU Kharisma Paramedika. The study was conducted using an observational method with a cross sectional design according to a societal perspective. Data collection began in October 2017 until April 2018 conducted prospectively by conducting interviews using questionnaires to the parents of patients. Furthermore, a medical record document and data on the cost of medical treatment for invasive disease inpatients in Wates Hospital and Kharisma Paramedika Hospital were carried out. The data analysis used was descriptive method with a number of patients in Wates Hospital in a number of 35 pneumonia patients and 1 sepsis and in the Kharisma Paramedika General Hospital a number of 36 pneumonia patients and 4 sepsis patients. The comparison of direct medical costs with INA-CBG's uses the independent t-test and Mann Whitney statistical test methods. The amount of cost of illness of invasive disease for children, which includes direct medical costs, direct nonmedical costs, and indirect costs in Wates Hospital is Rp.77,271,768 and in RSU Kharisma Paramedika is Rp.117,498,250 with the largest component being direct medical costs. The comparison between direct medical costs and INA-CBG's rates in both hospitals was obtained p value 0. These results indicate that there are significant differences between INA-CBG's rates and direct medical costs.en_US
