dc.description | Stability is the ability of a drug or cosmetic product to persist under conditions defined throughout the period of storage and use, in order to ensure the identity, strength, quality and purity of the product. The preparations are said to be stable when these dosage conditions are still within acceptable limits during the time period of storage and use, with the same properties and characteristics as when they were made. Losing the stability of a product can result in a reduction in the efficacy of the product itself. A stability test is performed to establish a dosage in a stable condition so that the dosage can provide maximum effect. This study aims to determine the stability of the preparation of the gel peel off snail mucin (Achatina fulica) using the Accelerated test or accelerated test method.
This research was an experimental research, a formula that has been previously optimized for stability tested for three months with a varied observation time of 0 month, 0,03 month, 0,1 month, 0,23 month, 0,46 month, 0,7 month, 1,16 month, 1,63 month, 2,1 month, and 2,8 month. Testing was conducted using storage conditions 40oC ± 2oC/75% RH ± 5% RH, tested parameters in the form of physical properties and effectiveness of moisture. The physical properties of the parameters include organoleptical test, pH, viscosity, coverage, adhesiveness, and dry speed. While moisture effectiveness is tested using the help of Skin Detector tools.
The resailt of this research was obtained that the preparation of gel Peel mask off by using snile mucin both Formula 1 and Formula 2 is unstable during the known storage period of pH, viscosity, coverage, adhesiveness, and speed dries. While the effectiveness of humidity based on the test results of Independent T Test both Formula 1 and Formula 2 does not differ significantly with the value of Sgnifikansi 0.559 (p > 0.05). | en_US |
