| dc.description | This thesis will focus on the motivating factors behind the decision of Donald withdrawing from JCPOA negotiations in 2018. JCPOA is an international agreement made in the Obama era to control Iran's nuclear ambitions. But when Donald Trump was elected to be the President of the United States, Trump made a controversial policy by withdrawing from JCPOA negotiations. To analyze this case the author uses the concept of foreign policy and rational choice theory from Graham T. Allison. In this thesis the author use qualitative method that are explanative, using secondary data. The results of this thesis indicate that a country's foreign policy changes from time to time. It’s Depends on the policy maker. Trump's decision to withdraw from JCPOA is based on the consideration of the Cost and Benefit of the existence of this JCPOA agreement. In this thesis the authors found encouragement from United States allies in the Middle East (Israel and Saudi Arabia) through businessmen, organizations and lobbyists in the United States to influence Trump's foreign policy | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Karya tulis ini berfokus pada faktor pendorong dibalik keputusan Trump menarik diri dari perjanjian JCPOA tahun 2018. JCPOA adalah perjanjian internasional yang dibuat pada era Obama untuk mengontrol ambisi nuklir Iran. Namun saat Donald Trump terpilih menjadi presiden Amerika Serikat, Trump membuat kebijakan kontroversial yaitu menarik diri dari perjanjian JCPOA. Untuk meneliti kasus ini, penulis menggunakan konsep politik luar negeri dan teori pilihan rasional dari Graham T. Allison. Dalam karya tulis ini penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat eksplanatif, menggunakan data sekunder. Hasil dari karya tulis ini menunjukkan bahwa politik luar negeri suatu negara berubah dari waktu ke waktu. Hal ini Tergantung pada aktor pembuat kebijakan. Keputusaan Trump menarik diri dari JCPOA didasarkan pada pertimbangan untung rugi dari adanya perjanjian JCPOA ini.
