Miswak contains chloride that can be used as an alternative bleaching material. The aim of the present study was to assess the hypothesis that there is difference of effectiveness between miswak extract and carbamid peroxide 10% in tooth_bleaching. This experiment is a true experimental design. 10 samples of post extracted teeth were discolorized in black tea solution. They were divided into two sample groups i.e. group 1: five post extracted teeth discolorized with tea solution for 12 days then soaked in miswak extract during 56 hours, group 2: five discolorized post extracted teeth discolorized with tea solution for 12 days, then soaked in carbamid peroxide 10% during 56 hours. Colour change was measured by spectrophotometer and shade guide. Color change comparison was tested using Paired Sample t-test and Dependent t-test. There was no significance difference (p>0,05) between miswak extract (salvadora persica) and carbamid peroxide 10% in tooth bleachingen_US
