Problem of infection is need to analyzed management risk. One of the tools to manage risk of HAIs is using ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment). Arranged a risk assessment of infection control is important in order to prevent potential incidence of infection that’s not expected.This research analyze the Infection Control Risk Assessment and reduction strategies Health-Care Associated Infections at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital Yogyakarta. The Methods The type of research was descriptive qualitative with case study approach. Research using informants who are involved in the implementation of the Preventionand infection control.Collecting data with depth interviews and review documents.Risk management process, the findings of risk identification (1) the transmission of infectious diseases, microorganisms through direct contact and indirect, (2) infection, (3) the duration of treatment, delayed homecoming, disability, (4) health care workers, patients, visitors and hospital environments. The highest risk assessment is surgical site infection. HAIs reduction strategies are breaking the chain of infection, bacterial identification HAIs, rational antibiotic usage, optimizing surveillance HAIs, implementation and periodic regular meetings, reporting, cooperation, evaluation, socialization, monitoring and prevention, the reinvigoration of the SOP for the type of HAIs. Advice for the management of PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital needs to be more noticed of the implementation process of the preventionand infection control. | en_US |
