dc.descriptionChina’s focus under Hu Jintao is developing economic sector. China has been growing with a big amount of energy needs to keep running its domestic industrial. Central Asia appeared as new independent countries which is relevant to fill China’s energy thirst. This step could reduce China’s energy dependence in Middle East region, which has been China’s number one energy in oil importer. Market, necessity of energy, and Xinjiang issue has led China to rule Central Asia by creating regime and using Shanghai Cooperation Organization, regional organization between China, Rusia, and some Central Asia countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan). Hegemony Stability theory is used in analyzing China’s effort to rule Central Asia. It says that to reach stability, one great actor needed to be stabilizer/ruler. Based on the theory, China has taken some step by using the summit in SCO to add SCO function especially in economic sector. Furthermore, President Hu Jintao has maintained good relationship with Central Asia’s country in order to gain support in every summit. Besides that, China also provided aid for the Central Asia’s Country.en_US
