      Abstract
Background: Sectio Caesarea is an artificial labour through the uterine wall to remove the fetus from uterine for certain indications and makes the wound appear. Oxygenation is one of many wound healing factors that correlates with hemoglobin level because hemoglobin will be binding and transporting the oxygen through the wound tissue and the body. Objective: to knows the correlation between hemoglobin levels and Sectio Caesarea wound healing in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Yogyakarta. Methods: This study used an observational design with prospective cohort approach and primary data observational. Thirty samples included in inclusion criterias were taken in Firdaus ward on RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Yogyakarta. Inclusion criterias were Sectio Caesarea patients who wanted to be our sample. Exclusion criterias were Sectio Caesarea patients who had infection or preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) indication, Sectio Caesarea history, or diabetic mellitus (DM). Each samples’ hemoglobin level will be observed in 24 hours after Sectio Caesarea assisted by laboratory personnel and the wound healing on second and ninth day after Sectio Caesarea as measured using REEDA Scale. Results: There were 21 samples (70%) who had normal hemoglobin levels and 9 samples (30%) who had anemia. The average score of REEDA Scale criterias on second day after Sectio Caesarea were Redness 0,2 ± 0,761, Edema 0,13 ± 0,507, Ecchymosis 0 ± 0, Discharge 0,27 ± 0,828, Approximation 0,27 ± 0,450 and on ninth day after Sectio Caesarea, the score for all criterias were 0 ± 0. The result of non parametric Spearman Rho correlation test was -0,298 for correlation coefficient (r) and p value was 0,109. Conclusion: Not enough evidences to indicate the correlation between hemoglobin levels and Sectio Caesarea wound healing in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Yogyakarta
