The aims of this research is to identify the existence of socio-cultural as well as the political influence towards the decision making process of Canadian foreign policy (which is manifested in its refugee resettlement program) on the issue of Syrian refugee’s resettlement in the aftermath of Syrian civil war. Compared with other western countries which tend to be more protective in their immigration policies, Canada has been doing all the opposite. A very progressive approach has been showcased as a form of response towards the discussed issue.
