      Abstract
      This research was conducted to find out the process of the election of a legislative candidate women in Regency Ogan Komering Ilir in 2014. Based on the background of the problem there are many perspectives from the community, because many say that women don't deserve to be in politics, because politics is identical to the male role. In this study the author using qualitative methods is existence depicts the object, subject, location and resolution of issues with respect to the author's research. Data collection techniques in the research is in the form of interviews, documentation, and observations. The results of research shows that women in the legislative election of dominant with social capital possessed legislative candidates, because each community has a very important role for the election of any Member who ran as a member of the legislature, because the success of the election is at Community voice The Conclusion of this research is the involvement of women in politics is still minimal as most of society thinks women are not able to lead the region and keterpilihan female berdominan female legislative candidate with the proximity to society (social capital), so they have a strong capital to run.
