STRATEGI INDONESIA DALAM MEMPERTAHANKAN EKSPOR CPO (CRUDE PALM OIL) DI TENGAH ISU KERUSAKAN HUTAN TAHUN 2010-2015
Abstract
This thesis describes the Indonesian government's strategy in maintaining the export of crude palm oil (CPO) amid the issue of forest damage that became warm during the year 2010 until 2015. Dynamics of foreign trade has an important role in determining the level of progress of a country. This is because foreign trade is a form of comparatives advantages of a country against other countries. CPO commodity is one of the leading export commodities of Indonesia. In the period 2010-2015 Indonesia is the world's largest producer and exporter of palm oil, but at the same time there are issues of forest destruction that affect Indonesia and it is associated with the growth of CPO exports and the expansion of oil palm plantations in Indonesia. In this case the role and strategy of the Indonesian government and its stakeholders is necessary to maintain the existence of CPO exports amid the issue of forest destruction that befell Indonesia.
This thesis research uses descriptive qualitative method with data collection technique done through library research (librarry research) that is collecting data by reviewing a number of literature either in the form of books, journals, documents, newspapers and papers, articles and internet. Analyzed using the concept of foreign political strategy by John Lovell, more research into the strategy of the Indonesian government in maintaining CPO exports amid issues of forest destruction.
