This undergraduate thesis will explain how Amnesty International’s activities to against death penalty policy in Indonesia. Amnesty International is an international Non-Governmental Organization that engages in the upholding of human rights in the world. Amnesty International has goals such as upholding human rights, protecting human rights and punishing human rights abusers in the world. According to Amnesty International, the enactment of the death penalty policy is a form of violation of the right to life in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Indonesia is one of the countries that implementing the death penalty policy. So Amnesty International strives to oppose Indonesia in enforcing the death penalty. Amnesty International’s counteraction is base on so many problems, cases and violation of human right guarantee in Indonesia. Various efforts such as, research, campaign, lobbying and advocacy have been done by Amnesty International. Unfortunately, Indonesia is still implementing the death penalty policy.
