      Abstract
      South Korea is a poor country in the 1950s due to civil wars between South Korea and North Korea. It causes many resources of South Korean run out and cause poor people. However, did not take long, South Korea was able to rise and become a developed country as it is today. This is can not be separated from Park Chung Hee's policies, one of them is Saemaul Undong Movement. The Saemaul Undong Movement is able to boost South Korea's economy and make the country progress in economy sector. The rapid economic development of South Korea with the Saemaul Undong Movement makes South Korea confident to globalize this movement as an alternative development paradigm. By carrying out the concept of diligent, discipline, and cooperation of Saemaul Undong Movement able to improve economic development by means of sustainability so as not to endanger the generation that will come.
