dc.description.abstract | The conflict between Israel and Palestine is a very complex conflict. Various peace process have been made since the outbreak of war in the 1940s. This study aims to analyze the linkages between foreign policy makers in Israel to the level of success of the peace process that taken by both sides in which the Likud serve as the subject of research to determine its influence as a political party election winner in the process of making foreign policy, especially in terms of the peace process with the Palestinians. The method used in this study is a qualitative study that is the first stage of this method are data collection, the second are data analysis and then report writing. In data collection techniques using literature study (Library Research) by collecting and sorting of secondary data sources from books library, journals and research reports, e-books, magazines, and electronic sources (Internet) support in providing information about the state of Israel and Palestine, the history and dynamics of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, as well as Likud party influence on domestic policy and foreign policy of Israel. The conclusion of this study is, the winning of Likud in election make the political orientation in the parliament (Knesset) tend to be conservative causes the rigid regime of the new Israel in carrying out the process of peace negotiations and tend to be aggressive in conducting its foreign policy towards the Palestinians. Moreover, war or "peace through strength" became the choice of Israel rgime under the Likud in order to achieve peace, because, according to Likud thought peace through negotiations just an "Imaginable deal" or a delusion. | en_US |
