In the management and the cultivation of cocoa, farmers in Patuk, Gunung Kidul Regency face problems, such as the productivity of cocoa pods at the farm level is still low and extreme weather with heavy rainfall caused a lot of cocoa pods with the fungus and the drying process cocoa fruit was also not optimal. Based on the problems, so the objectives of the activities was providing skills in the management and the cultivation of cocoa was good and there needs appropriate technology in the form of cocoa pods drying machine is easy to use, practical and applicable for rural communities. To achieve the target outputs corresponding problems faced, used several methods, which include counseling, demonstration and training, field trips, procurement of equipment as well as assistance and monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activities IbM indicate that the target communities are groups of cocoa farmers Ngudi Raharjo have responded very well to participate and follow the activities as well as possible, and to improve the knowledge, insight and skills in the management and the cultivation of cocoa, and to improve the quality and capacity of seed production cocoa.
